1.      The sun shone brightly.

2.      She read the text clearly.

3.      We did the job well.

·         The words brightly, clearly, and well are adverbs of manner.

·         The adverbs give us the information how the sun shone, how the text is read, and how the job was done.

·         Adverbs of manner are formed from adjective + ly. This the regular form.

1.      Brightly à Bright +ly

2.      Clearly   à Clear + ly

·         Irregular form of adverb applies to some words.
